Fall Facial Masks

Indulge yourself this fall with some seasonal facial masks that will leave your skin truly glowing.

Avoid using harsh ingredients and chemicals by making them at home with safe, natural ingredients.

As always, when using something new on your skin, do a patch test first. If the skin becomes irritated or itchy after 24 hours, please do not continue to apply it to any other area on your skin.

Try some of these simple DIY face mask recipes. Get yourself and your skin in the spirit of the fall season.

Pumpkin

Packed with Vitamins A & C, this gourd can help minimize the appearance of acne scars, dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. It can also help protect your skin from sun damage and give it that healthy glow you've been looking for.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon of honey
½ teaspoon of milk

Directions:
Wash your face before applying. Combine all the ingredients together and apply it to your clean face in circular motions. Make sure that you avoid the eye area. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

Chocolate

Rich with antioxidants, chocolate can help to improve blood flow to the skin as well as increase skin density and hydration. It can also help to remove dead skin cells and moisturize your skin.

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa (or cacao powder)
1 tablespoon of cream
2 teaspoons of raw honey
¼ cup milk

Directions:
Wash your face before applying. Combine all the ingredients together and apply it to your clean face in circular motions. Make sure that you avoid the eye area. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

Cranberry

Cranberries contain powerful antioxidants and collagen-boosting properties that can help improve your skin's elasticity and firmness. It can also help to soothe redness and inflammation.

Ingredients:
7 crushed cranberries (fresh)
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon plain yogurt

Directions:

Cinnamon & Nutmeg

A natural exfoliant and antiseptic paired with an anti-inflammatory create a healing mask for your skin. These ingredients work to fight acne, lighten the skin, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. *Nutmeg can be harsh on some skin types.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of honey
¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
