Make the Holiday Season Simpler!
The holiday season is full of fun, giving, and magic but sometimes the craziness of the season can leave us more stressed and feeling overwhelmed.
That doesn’t have to be you this year we are going to give you some tips to help minimize the chaos and craziness that the holidays bring.
Focus on Gratitude
Here at Noche, we are always preaching about an Attitude of Gratitude. It’s so easy to get stuck into a rut where you are only focusing on the negative things, but it takes a lot of practice to be looking for things to be grateful for, but the more you do it the easier it will become.
During the holidays you are way more likely to remember the positive that you are focusing on rather than what went wrong or something bad that happened. So look for those great moments and cherish them, because that’s what the holidays are all about.
Prioritize Your Priorities
This one sounds very self-explanatory and a little silly but in all of the traditions and all the tasks and activities of the holiday, which ones are your favorite?
Are there any activities that you participate in that feel like a chore? What’s stopping you from cutting that out or leaving it low on the to-do list and if it gets done it gets done.
Sometimes it’s more important to actually be able to enjoy the day spent with others, and so cooking big meals might not be something on the top of the list, or putting out all the decorations.
I find that when doing things simpler it’s easier to enjoy everything else and take it all in.
Declutter Before the Holidays
With the holidays there will likely be more people and more things coming in and out of your house.
Before everything gets too crazy take a day to declutter your house, the future you will thank you for this.
This will also make things a lot simpler to clean up once the holidays are over, so give yourself a nice head start.
