4 Date Night Recipes
Just because Valentine's Day is over doesn't mean that you can't have a nice date night with your best friends or significant other. It's important to keep love in the air and show some extra appreciation.
1. Pappardelle in Saffron Cream
For this recipe, you will need:
- Salt
- Shallot
- Saffron
- Heavy cream
- Pepper
- Lemon juice
- Vanilla extract
- Pappardelle pasta
- Grated parmesan
- Chives
- Lemon zest
Directions: Saltwater and bring it to a boil while melting butter in a
skillet. Add saffron and shallot to a soft texture. Then mix in the cream,
salt, and pepper while stirring occasionally.
Turn up the heat to help thicken the cream, then put vanilla and lemon juice. Put pasta in boiling water, drain after done. Transfer pasta to the sauce, then garnish with chives and lemon zest.

2. Strip Steak with Lemon Mashed Potatoes
For this recipe, you will need:
- Potatoes
- Salt and pepper
- Peas
- Lemon zest
- Peas (fresh or frozen)
- Olive oil
- Streak strips
- Shallots
- Dry white wine
- Unsalted butter
Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Put potatoes in a large pot with salted water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to let simmer. Drain and add peas to the potatoes, butter, lemon juice, zest, and then olive oil. Mash together, then season with salt and pepper.
Afterward, add the steak strips in a skillet with some olive oil. Let steak rest and add shallots, wine, then water to the same skillet. Stir occasionally, then add butter—plate steak with potatoes garnishing with sauce.

3. Lobster Mac & Cheese
For this recipe, you will need:
- Cavatappi
- Butter
- Flour
- Milk
- Salt and pepper
- White cheddar
- Fontina
- Parmesan
- Lobster
- Breadcrumbs
- Olive oil
- Parsley
Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bring salted water to a boil, then cook the pasta until done. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter and sprinkle flour over, then pour milk the milk.
Whisk until done and add seasonings into the sauce. Let simmer to thicken. Add all cheese in, then when melted, fold in pasta and lobster. Sprinkle breadcrumbs all over, then put everything in a baking pan. Bake until golden brown and bubbly. Garnish with parsley.

4. Black Bottom Cupcakes
For this recipe, you will need:
- Cream cheese
- Egg
- Sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Flour
- Cocoa powder
- Brown sugar
- Baking soda
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
- White vinegar
Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, then line a 12-cup muffin pan. Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg in a bowl. Put the oil, water, and vanilla extract, then mix. After adding the vinegar, let the batter rest for about 10 minutes and dived the batter evenly into the pan. Put in oven until middle is cooked, then garnish with icing.
