The Correct Order to Apply Your Skincare Products

🌞 Morning Skincare Routine

Wake up. Wash up. Glow up.

1. Exfoliator1–2x per week instead of cleanser

Don’t overdo it! Think of it as a deep-clean day, not an everyday event.

2. Cleanser

Start with a fresh face—removes sweat, oil, and leftover products from the night before.

3. Toner (optional but nice)

Adds a quick hit of hydration and preps your skin for the next steps.

4. Serum

Great for targeting fine lines, dullness, or uneven tone. Choose one based on your skin goals.

5. Spot Treatment (if needed)

If you're treating a breakout in the morning, no need to apply it again at night. Once a day is plenty!

6. Eye Cream

Pat gently around the eyes—think of it like tiny hugs for tired skin.

7. Moisturizer

Locks in all your hard work. If you're rushing, don’t skip this step.

8. Sunscreen (non-negotiable)

The MVP of daytime skincare. Always last. Always necessary. Even when it’s cloudy or you’re indoors!

🌙 Evening Skincare Routine

Give your skin the beauty sleep treatment.

1. Makeup Remover

Gotta get the day off before anything else can work. Micellar water or cleansing balm are great options.

2. Cleanser

Double cleansing (remover + cleanser) ensures your skin is actually clean—not just makeup-free.

3. Toner (optional)

Nice refresher and hydrator after cleansing. Especially helpful if you have dry or mature skin.

4. Serum

Use one that supports repair and hydration overnight. If you're using a serum, you don't need a firming oil too. Choose one or the other—no need to layer both unless your skin is super dry.

5. Spot Treatment

Only if you didn’t already use it in the morning. Pick one time a day—it’s more than enough.

6. Eye Cream

Gives the delicate skin around your eyes a little extra love before bed.

7. Firming Oil

Use only if you skipped serum. A few drops will nourish and seal in moisture.

8. Moisturizer

Always finish with this. Overnight moisturizers are often richer, and they help everything underneath work better while you sleep.

📝 Friendly Reminders:

  • You don’t need to do every step, every day. It’s not a test—it’s self-care.

  • Most important steps? Cleanser + Moisturizer.

  • Feeling overwhelmed? Start with those two and slowly build up.

Need a little skincare structure?

I’ve made two easy, printable guides to help keep your routine on track. The daily routine is ready to go—just follow along and you’re set. The weekly version is more of a flexible planner. You can jot down what days you want to exfoliate, mask, or give your skin that extra something-something. Think of it like your skincare diary.

You can download both below—stick them on your bathroom mirror, tuck them in your skincare drawer, or keep them on your phone—whatever works best for you!

  • Great question, Norma! If you’re using both the Vitamin C Face Cream and the Ocean Caviar Face Cream, I recommend using the Vitamin C Face Cream in the morning and the Ocean Caviar Face Cream at night.

  • Hello, I have a question. After my cleansing I apply the serum C then the vitamin C cream twice a day. Do I apply the caviar cream twice a day as well? Thank you.
