Three Vitamin C routines, from real customers
We asked three of our long-time customers what their morning and evening actually looks like. Their answers surprised me a little.
Earlier this week I wrote about three habits our team in Vizcaya kept bringing up: gentler cleansing, lighter hydration, and the parts of skincare American brands tend to skip. That piece was about Spanish women generally.
This one is about ours.
When we asked customers who have been with us for three, five, sometimes ten years to walk us through their actual routines, the conversations got specific fast. Below are three of them, lightly edited for length. Each woman's products are linked at the end of her section.
They all use Vitamin C. They all use it differently.
Lorie, 70, used to work in the cosmetics industry.
Now she uses the Vitamin C 3-Step System. After decades of testing department-store products.
"A friend introduced me to the Noche products. I am 70 years old and my skin looks better than ever. I worked in the cosmetic industry for some of the heavy hitters, and in comparison, price point to product quality and effectiveness, this beats them all. I am currently using the Vitamin C 3-Step system. Take the plunge, make the investment, and you will be amazed at how your skin responds." Lorie, 70
There's something specific about hearing this from someone who spent her working life inside the cosmetics industry. Lorie's used the brands that sit on department store counters with three-digit price tags. She picked ours instead, and stayed.
Her routine is the Vitamin C 3-Step System: Cleansing Water morning and evening, Serum after, Face Cream to seal. Three products, three minutes, twice a day.
It's the bundle most of our longer-tenure customers settle into. It's also the one we built first.
Vitamin C Cleansing Water, Vitamin C Serum, Vitamin C Face Cream. $99.85.
Diane, 70, started fresh.
She was looking for something that fit her skin at seventy. She found us, and built her routine out from there.
"I have a great gene pool regarding aging skin. When I turned 70 last November I started my search for a skin care that suited my type. Needless to say I have tried and spent a few dollars on my journey. What impressed me first was the simplicity of the product. One for cleansing and a serum that absorbs so quickly I do not use a moisturizer before applying my foundation. I use the regimen AM and PM. Thank you for a wonderful product." Diane, 70
Diane started with the Cleansing Water and the Serum and worked her way through the line from there. Her description of the Serum, "absorbs so quickly I don't use a moisturizer before applying my foundation," is one of the reasons the Vitamin C system layers so well under everything.
For a routine like hers, the full Vitamin C Collection makes the most sense. Cleansing Water, Serum, Face Cream, and our Vitamin C Concentrate Ampoules. Four products that cover morning, evening, and the occasional boost.
The Ampoules are the part of the line most customers don't know about until they try them. They're a little treatment for the days you feel like you need an extra bit of glow. Twelve single-use vials you snap open, smooth across your face and neck after cleansing. Once or twice a week, whenever you want. Small enough to feel like a treat instead of a chore.
Vitamin C Cleansing Water, Vitamin C Serum, Vitamin C Face Cream, and 12 Concentrate ampoules. $119.85.
Sherry knows what works for her skin.
She tried both our lines. The Vitamin C 3-Step is what her sensitive skin agreed with, and she stayed.
"I tried Vitamin C first and absolutely loved it. Then I tried the Caviar line, but I have very sensitive skin and the Vitamin C is what really agreed with me. So I went back to the orange. The appearance of my age spots is smaller, hydration is wonderful, and the lines around my eyes look smaller. And it smells great." Sherry, longtime customer
Sherry's the kind of customer voice we trust most. She tried both lines and was honest about which one her skin agreed with. Our Vitamin C system is the gentler of the two collections, and for sensitive skin in particular, it tends to be the one that fits.
Her routine is the Vitamin C 3-Step System, same as Lorie. Cleansing Water, Serum, Face Cream. She mentions the scent in her review, which almost every Vitamin C customer ends up doing too. That's the Spanish orange, hand-selected, that we source the Vitamin C from.
The fact that she chose this routine after trying both lines isn't the kind of recommendation we have to manufacture. It just happens.
Vitamin C Cleansing Water, Vitamin C Serum, Vitamin C Face Cream. $99.85.
The pattern
Lorie, Diane, and Sherry are different ages, in different places in their skincare lives, with different reasons for finding us. They all use Vitamin C. Two of them use the 3-Step. One uses the full Collection. None of them use the same exact thing every day.
If I had to summarize what their routines actually share, it'd be this: they kept the routines simple, and they kept them consistent. Three or four products instead of seven. Used twice a day. For months, not weeks.
The clinical study we commissioned in Spain saw visible results in 28 days. Our customers see them on a timeline measured in years.
Both timelines are true.
Two bundles. One's how most people start. The other's how they end up.
